Restretching
Wrinkles and ripples mean the carpet was never stretched tight — or has relaxed over time. We power-stretch it back flat and taut so it stops rucking up and becoming a trip hazard.
Patching
Burns, bad stains, pet damage and worn spots get cut out and patched with a matching offcut. Kept a spare roll? Perfect. If not, we can usually take a patch from a wardrobe or hidden area.
Re-seaming & edges
Lifting seams, frayed doorways and edges pulling off the grippers get re-joined, re-fixed and finished so they hold and disappear again.
An honest verdict
If a repair will genuinely fix it, that’s what we’ll do. If the carpet is too far gone to be worth it, we’ll tell you straight rather than take your money twice.

Carpet Repairs FAQs
Is it cheaper to repair carpet than replace it?
Almost always, if the damage is localised. A restretch or a patch is a small job next to re-carpeting a whole room, so it’s well worth getting a repair quote before you replace.
Can you fix wrinkles and bumps in my carpet?
Yes — that’s a restretch. Ripples happen when carpet loses tension. We lift it, power-stretch it tight again and re-trim the edges so it sits flat.
Do you need spare carpet to patch a hole or burn?
It helps. If you kept an offcut we’ll use that for an invisible patch. If not, we can often borrow a piece from inside a wardrobe or under furniture where it won’t be seen.
Can you repair pet damage?
Usually yes. Pulled loops, dug-up patches and chewed edges can be patched or re-worked. If the backing is destroyed over a large area, we’ll let you know if replacement is the better option.
